# Staked

The user locks tokens in the pool and receives rewards in BYAcademy from the dedicated reward fund.

* **Annual Percentage Rate (APR):** 96 %.
* **Initial Emission:** 3,000,000 tokens.
* **Unstaking Period:** 2 weeks.
* **Exit Fee:** 10 % burn (70/30 split: 70 % returned to the reward pool, 30 % permanently burned).
* **Reward Pool:** 25,000,000 BYAcademy allocated from the tokenomics for staking rewards.

***

**How It Works**

1. The user tops up their BYAcademy balance.
2. Clicks **“Stake”** → **“Lock Tokens”**.
3. Selects the amount to stake.
4. Tokens are marked as **“Locked”**.

At any time, the user can perform one of two actions:

* **“Claim Rewards”** — receive the accrued BYAcademy tokens.
* **“Unstake”** — initiate the return of tokens (completed in 2 weeks); a 10 % fee is burned upon exit.

***

**Reward Calculation**

An APR of 96 % means that, if tokens are held for a full year, the reward will be approximately 96 % of the staked amount (excluding potential pool adjustments or limits).

Convenient formulas:

* **Daily Reward** ≈ Staked Amount × 0.96 / 365.
* **Hourly Reward** ≈ Staked Amount × 0.96 / 365 / 24.

**Example**

* Staked amount: 1,000 BYAcademy.
* Daily reward: ≈ 1,000 × 0.96 / 365 = 2.63 BYAcademy per day.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://byacademy.gitbook.io/byacademy-docs/tokenomics-of-byacademy/staked.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
